Sponsor a Child
Door of Faith Orphanage has created a home for many children over the years. We cannot do this without your love and support. Our kids are taken from bad situations of abuse, abandonment and neglect and placed in our care. Here we provide them with much needed love and stability. We want our kids to grow up believing they are truly loved and cared for. The Door of Faith sponsorship program offers a way for people to assist us in caring for our kids. We are always looking for new sponsors to help us care for new and existing kids placed in our custody. Our program is designed to fulfill three significant needs:
First of all, our program gives our children a sense of belonging. By becoming a sponsor you can help the child develop just that. It means a great deal to them when they know someone cares for them on the outside. We encourage sponsors to get involved with their child’s life by writing letters, sending birthday and Christmas cards and presents and if possible visiting them. Though it is not required we welcome sponsors to build a personal relationship with their child.
Secondly, our program helps in the day to day expenses of caring for these children. Every dollar that comes through the Sponsorship Program directly benefits the kids. We are able to give our children life-altering opportunities such as higher education, three hot meals a day, regular medical attention, and a safe and stable environment to help them develop.
Thirdly, our program provides the sponsor with a great deal of satisfaction. As a sponsor you can make an impact in a life of a child here at Door of Faith. Very few people that get involved with Door of Faith leave unchanged.
Your tax-deductible monthly support unites you with a chosen or assigned child. You will first receive a picture of your child with their information. As time goes on you will receive regular updates of how your child is doing.
Our program is designed to work best for you. Just let us know how much you would feel comfortable sponsoring: $25, $50, $100 or whatever you are able to give. If you would rather commit to a general monthly donation to help the work here that is encouraged as well.
Occasionally, a child is placed back with their parents or adopted. When this happens the sponsor is notified and given the opportunity to sponsor another child or if they would like to they can commit to a general monthly donation which benefits the children as well.
